Terms & Conditions

Last updated 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Patricia Lee Art website and to enquiries, commissions and purchases made directly through Patricia Lee Art.

This website is operated by Patricia Smith trading as Patricia Lee Art.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Website Use

This website is provided to showcase the work of Patricia Lee and to provide information about original artworks, collections, commissions, forthcoming prints and related artistic activities.

You may browse the website and share links to its pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. Content from this website must not be copied, reproduced or commercially exploited without permission.

Copyright & Intellectual Property

All original artworks, images, photographs of artworks, written content and other creative material displayed on this website are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of Patricia Smith trading as Patricia Lee Art, unless otherwise stated.

Purchasing an original or commissioned artwork gives the purchaser ownership of the physical artwork only. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist unless expressly transferred in writing.

Artwork and images may not be reproduced, copied, printed, altered, distributed, commercially exploited or used to create derivative works without prior written permission.

Artificial Intelligence & Digital Use

Artwork, images and other creative content from this website may not be scraped, collected, downloaded or otherwise used for the purpose of training or developing artificial intelligence, machine-learning or image-generation systems without prior written permission.

Patricia Lee Art does not grant permission for its artwork to be used through AI or other digital technologies to create unauthorised reproductions, imitations or derivative works.

Original Artworks

Every original artwork is individually created and unique.

Every reasonable effort is made to represent artworks accurately through photographs. However, colours and fine details may vary slightly depending on lighting, screen settings and the device being used.

Dimensions are provided on individual artwork pages and should be checked before purchasing.

Room-setting images are provided as a visual guide to help viewers appreciate the approximate scale and appearance of an artwork in an interior. They are illustrative and should not be regarded as an exact representation of scale, colour or setting.

Further information about individual works, including dimensions, materials, availability and shipping information, can be found on the relevant Artwork page.

Availability, Prices & Enquiries

The display of an artwork on the website does not guarantee that it remains available for purchase.

Where a price is displayed or subsequently quoted, shipping and other associated costs are additional unless specifically stated otherwise.

As original artworks are currently purchased by enquiry, the price, availability, shipping arrangements and other relevant details will be confirmed before a purchase is agreed.

No sale is considered confirmed until the agreed payment has been received.

Commissions

Patricia Lee accepts commissions for original artworks created in her own artistic style.

The size, concept, price, expected timescale and other relevant details will be discussed and agreed before work begins.

A 50% advance payment is required before work begins, with the remaining 50% payable on completion and before the artwork is dispatched or collected.

Because commissioned works are individually created, the artwork may develop during the creative process and will not be an exact reproduction of an existing painting or reference image.

Full details about sizes, materials, timescales, payment, changes and the commissioning process are available on the Commissions page.

Commission Cancellations

If a commission is cancelled after work has begun, please contact Patricia Lee Art as soon as possible.

Any refund of an advance payment will take into account the stage the artwork has reached and reasonable costs and work already undertaken. Nothing in these terms affects any statutory consumer rights that may apply.

Further information is available on the Commissions page.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping costs are calculated individually according to the artwork, its dimensions, destination and agreed shipping method.

Artwork will be appropriately packaged for transit and insured where stated or agreed.

International purchasers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed within their country unless otherwise agreed.

Further shipping information is provided on the individual Artwork pages and, for commissioned works, on the Commissions page.

Damage During Delivery

Please inspect your artwork as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If an artwork arrives damaged, contact Patricia Lee Art promptly and retain all original packaging. Photographs of the artwork, packaging and visible damage may be required to support a claim with the courier or insurer.

Please do not dispose of damaged packaging until the matter has been discussed.

Returns & Cancellations

Your cancellation and return rights will depend upon the nature of the purchase and the circumstances in which the order was placed.

Bespoke or personalised commissioned artworks may be treated differently from non-personalised purchases under applicable consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict your statutory consumer rights.

Where applicable, specific return or cancellation arrangements will be confirmed before a purchase is completed.

Fine Art Prints

Fine art prints are not currently available for purchase but are planned for future release.

Information about available artworks, sizes, editions, materials, prices, delivery and applicable terms will be provided on the Prints page when the collection launches.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated when online print sales are introduced.

Certificates of Authenticity

Where a Certificate of Authenticity is supplied with an original artwork, it forms part of the provenance of that particular work and should be retained by the purchaser.

A Certificate of Authenticity does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.

Personal information submitted through this website is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

This includes information submitted through general contact forms and commission enquiries.

Please refer to the Privacy Policy for information about what data may be collected, how it is used and your rights.
